Chante and Jaja's Stunning Farm Wedding

We met Chante and Jaja through Instagram! Chante reached out about a one and a half years before her wedding.  She told us she started following all the San Francisco wedding planners she liked on Instagram, and one by one, she’d delete them if she felt their work was uneven or style wasn’t a fit.  After about six months we were the only wedding planner she still followed (unbeknownst to us at the time).  This was a resounding compliment, and such an honor.

We immediately hit it off, and couldn’t wait to meet.  She and her fiancé, Jaja dreamed of a modern wine country wedding on their farm, which led to a whole host of concepts and inspirations for us to explore.  Their wedding would also introduce family and friends to their new home.

Jaja’s style leans toward rustic, cowboy, country, while Chante’s leans toward organic elegance, modern farm, with a touch of glam.  Through our collaboration, we created a magical combination of both their tastes, reflective of their life together.

Each guest invited held a special place in Chante & Jaja’s hearts, whether longtime or lifetime friend or family far and wide.  Our clear edict was to create nothing short of a magical wedding day, with every element and detail in place for guests’ comfort and enjoyment.

We walked the spaces at the farm, envisioning various potential flows and layouts of the wedding from guest arrival all the way through to guest departure.  Thinking through all of the logistics, setups, and moving parts, we recommended a flow that we thought would wow guests, highlight the elegant design, and be functional so that our vendor team could realistically execute all the details.

Our overall design was modern organic elegance, with a really fun Cowboy Lounge for guests to explore and enjoy.  We featured leather & rawhide seating and rugs, hay bales, rustic antique farm memorabilia, and the groom’s own art sculptures, large and small.  Lastly, we added the couple’s magnificent collection of California succulents ranging from tabletop to tree size. Collectively it added an enormous authenticity to the spaces while sharing important pieces of the couple with their guests for their Napa wedding.

As guests arrived and were ushered into the Cowboy Lounge, they were greeted with sophisticated cocktails & mocktails.  As they took it all in, we guided them to our ceremony area, which was set up under a heritage walnut tree, with linen-draped hay bale seating and big open country skies.

After the ceremony, it was back to the Cowboy Lounge for libations, nibbles, and live music by an award-winning talented musician who was also a personal friend of the couple.  Guests enjoyed the many lounge spaces such as the western lounge, the gazebo lounge, and the chaise lounges with sunset views.

Dinner sparkled under market string lighting that illuminated the dining tables surrounding the dance floor.  Our caterer created a scrumptious custom menu that showcased the best flavors of the season and appealed to guests’ sophisticated tastes. The fall color palette really shone with tones of chartreuse, burgundy, copper, gold, and peach atop tables of dark gray with gray stoneware china and brushed gold flatware. The overall effect was both earthy and elegant while reflecting the couple’s favorite fall colors.

It was magical to watch the newlyweds dance their first dance under the stars with guests gathered around.  Everyone danced and socialized well into the night, with guests taking breathers and catching up on conversations in all the fun spaces created for them to enjoy and relax in.

Chante and Jaja were thrilled with their magical wedding day.  We adore this couple and absolutely love looking through photos and reliving their wedding.
